What is a Family Historian? The Family Historian (F.H) is the Purchaser of the GriotBook. He/She may also be the Authorized Griot or the A.G. If the F.H is separate from the A.G, the F.H must work closely with the Authorized Griot to insure the completion of the GriotBook. The duties of the F.H is (but not limited to) gathering family information such as pictures; stories; vital information; birthdays; death dates; important events et cetera as well as making any and all changes to the GriotBook project.
The F.H is the only one Authorized to correspond with GriotBooks.com UNLESS an A.G is appointed. The A.G possesses the secured GCode issued to them by the F.H. GriotBook will NEVER assign, disclose or issue the ID Code to any other persons without the written consent of the Family Historian (F.H).
The F.H is responsible for making sure that all needed information is submitted to GriotBooks.com. Those who possess the GCode are the only person(s) that we will correspond with for any and all questions that we may have pertaining to the completion of the GriotBook. Only the F.H will be allowed to appoint the A.G to the family's GriotBook project. The F.H does not have to appoint an A.G, but a beneficiary must be appointed. Please contact us for more details.
The Family Historian/Purchaser who has appointed an A.G to their GriotBook Project will NOT be notified for any reason except when 90 days has passed and we have not had any connections or contacts with the appointed A.G. This will allow the Purchaser to either assume the responsibility of the A.G/F.H or appoint a new one. Please review our Terms and Agreement policy regarding refunds if any.
